New energy-neutral swimming pool De Kûpe in Buitenpost
For this project, our mechanics left for Buitenpost, where a beautiful new swimming pool has been built next to the existing complex. The new swimming pool The Kûpe, designed by Slangen + Koenis architects, will be built completely energy-neutral. The roof will be fitted with solar panels and, in addition, an advanced heat recovery system installed. This system utilises waste heat from rinse and shower water, significantly reducing energy consumption.
Flexible and future-proof design
De Kûpe's 25-metre pool is equipped with a moveable floor and folding wall, making the pool suitable for all user groups, from recreational swimming to swimming lessons and sports training. By raising the folding wall, the pool can be split into two separate pools, offering flexibility for different activities at the same time.
In addition, the pool continues to benefit from the heat coupling with the neighbouring plastic profile factory Enitor Primo, allowing waste heat to be efficiently reused. With these sustainable and innovative solutions, De Kûpe will be a future-proof swimming pool where comfort, energy efficiency and ease of use come together.
