DUO moving floor: maximum flexibility in one pool

The Variopool two-piece movable floor is an innovative solution for teaching pools and accommodations where multiple target groups use the pool at the same time. This clever design increases the usability of every square metre of swimming water and allows simultaneous programming of different activities. Operators benefit from more flexibility in the class schedule, more efficient planning and higher occupancy rates. The result: a more dynamic daily programme and improved profitability. The DUO solution is suitable for both municipal swimming pools and large international swimming complexes and, like our standard floor, can cover the entire pool or part of it.

The DUO bottom consists of two separately adjustable movable bottom parts, connected by a short hinged flap. Both parts can be independently adjusted to different water depths, with a maximum depth difference of 1 metre. This allows you to easily create two functional zones within one pool. If desired, the shallow and deeper sections can be separated with a warning line or removable safety gates. In this way, you combine flexibility with safety and overview.

Simultaneous lessons on the DUO moving floor

The application possibilities are manifold. Think of simultaneous swimming lessons for children and adults (e.g. 0.40 m and 1.40 m water depth), different level groups within youth (0.80 m and 1.20 m) or a uniform depth of 2.00 m for competitive swimming and water polo. When the pool is closed, the entire bottom can be raised to 0.00 m and function as a thermal cover. This allows you to make optimal use of the pool - both during and outside opening hours.
