Swiss Timing is a global leader in timekeeping equipment, data analysis and result displays for top international sporting events. Among other things, the company provides complete timekeeping during every edition of the Olympic Games and works with renowned brands such as Longines, Tissot and Swatch.

Within swimming, Swiss Timing is an official partner of major organisations such as World Aquatics (formerly FINA), USA Swimming and Swimming Canada. In close cooperation with these federations, the company develops innovative timekeeping systems and technologies for both pool and open-water competitions. Accuracy, reliability and international standardisation are key in this respect.

Variopool and subsidiary Varioplay represent Swiss Timing's full range of products in the Netherlands and Belgium. This includes touchpads for time registration, starting blocks, scoreboards and starting guns. The touchpads, mounted on the short side of the pool, register the arrival time as soon as the swimmer taps with sufficient pressure. Combined with advanced starting systems - equipped with sound and light signals synchronously distributed throughout the pool - this guarantees extremely precise and fair time measurement in both 25- and 50-metre pools.

Swiss Timing also offers high-quality solutions for open-water competitions. Systems such as the Open Water Gate enable continuous time recording at start, finish and intermediate points of the course. Transponders and antennae record swimmers' passage in real time, while high-quality camera systems act as a reliable backup at very close finishes. This ensures maximum accuracy even under the most demanding conditions.
