Getting in and out of the pool comfortably and safely

Variopool not only supplies movable pool floors, but also a wide range of pool accessories that make pools more accessible and user-friendly. An important part of this is the disabled lift (also called the movable disabled platform). This lift offers disabled people a comfortable and safe way to enter and exit the pool. The platform is height-adjustable and easy to operate, making it a practical solution for both visitors and pool staff. For extra comfort and safety, the lift can be equipped with removable handrails and polycarbonate safety plates. Variopool can also support the complete pool design to ensure that all components fit together properly.

Usability

Multiple solutions are often combined within accessible swimming pool projects. For example, in installations with a moveable floor, an optional waterproof control panel is available, equipped with the latest PLC technology. This allows personnel to quickly and conveniently set the height of the pool floor. The corresponding LED displays with aluminium housing have a viewing range of about 120 degrees, are insensitive to interference and switch on and off automatically. This is not only user-friendly, but also saves energy when the pool is closed.

Entry facilities also play a major role in accessibility. Besides a traditional stainless steel staircase, an integrated staircase can be chosen. This makes it easier for various target groups to enter the water independently and at the same time provides a sleek look, as the stairs are completely concealed in the design.

For therapy and rehabilitation applications, a ramp is a valuable addition. A movable pool floor can be equipped with it, making it easier for rehabilitation patients, injured athletes and other users with limited mobility to enter the pool. Wheelchair users can even ride into the water independently. Especially in therapy pools and within Hydrotherapy, a ramp or MIVA solution is often a great advantage, as it lowers the threshold and increases the user's independence.
