Our innovative pool solution in pictures
Variopool delivered a combination of pool solutions for the renovated Zwembad de Meerkamp swimming pool in Amstelveen: a duo-movable floor, a folding wall suitable for a two-temperature set-up and various pool fittings such as a lazy step in alcove, starting blocks with time registration and a disabled lift.
Flexible use: multiple activities simultaneously
Thanks to this technology, the pool will be flexible and multifunctional. “With the moveable bottoms, you can, for instance, give swimming lessons at different water depths and enable recreational swimming at the same time,” says project leader Niels in the project video. The folding wall also contributes to this: it can physically and thermally separate the pool, allowing several activities with different water temperatures to take place simultaneously in the same pool.
Cooperation and progress
It is not only the technology that makes this project special. The pleasant cooperation between Variopool, the Amstelveen municipality and contractor OLCO also ensured a smooth process. The entire swimming pool has now been completed and is in use by a wide variety of target groups.
