Meet John Gielesen: international account manager at Variopool with 15 years of experience
We would like to introduce you to our colleague John. He is one of the project consultants at Variopool. John has decades of experience in multifunctional swimming pool solutions in both national and international projects. He has guided successful projects from the Netherlands and Belgium to South Korea and Japan. John loves challenges and meets them every day. In the industry, he is a valued person with a lot of knowledge. He is happy to share more about his work at Variopool:
International projects
John starts: “In the years that I have been working as a project consultant at Variopool, I have gained a lot of experience in this industry and our reference list has grown considerably with wonderful national and international projects that I have had the opportunity to contribute to. I am responsible for projects in the Netherlands (where I work together with my colleague René Everts), Scandinavia, Poland (where I provide sales and technical support to our own sales office), Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan. A wonderful mix of interesting countries that offers me many opportunities”.
Major challenges
There are still some countries where Variopool has not yet had the opportunity to build a project, these are precisely the most beautiful challenges for me. The most challenging thing in these projects in new countries is finding the right local partners to do business successfully. Finding the right partners is crucial; I experienced this about 2 years ago in the land of the rising sun: Japan. By first thoroughly researching the Japanese market and talking to several local parties, we made the choice to work with a Japanese party. Now this turns out to have been a golden move.
